GFWC Illinois Federation of Women’s Clubs Scholarships – Five Scholarships for boy or girl high school seniors:
- Lorado Taft Art Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship, with preference given to student majoring in Art.
- Vocational Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship, for students entering vocational program.
- Hamilton Ridge Music Scholarship - $1,000, with preference given to student majoring in music.
- Arthur Grant Smith Drama Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship, with preference given to student majoring in drama/theater.
- Vina A. Miller Memorial Education Scholarship - $1,000 scholarship, with preference given to student majoring in education.

South Central FS 2020 Ag Scholarship Program– Open to students interested in Sales & Marketing, Vocational, or Custom Application roles; must be a senior graduating in 2020. All tuition and expenses to a Jr. college of your choice may be awarded; based on scholastic achievement, leadership in agriculture, and a perceived ability to contribute to agriculture in the future. (Student can finish a 4-yr degree after 2 years at a Jr. college.) Find applications in the Guidance Office Scholarship file drawer. Applications must be postmarked by Novmber 30, 2019.

Verna Ross Orndorff Scholarship – This $1,000 scholarship is offered to encourage interest in Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War in IL high schools, and is open to all high school students. An essay is required. Find more information and an application at this website: http://www.historyillinois.org. Click on the Scholarships link to access this scholarship. Deadline for submissions is January 15, 2020.

HBA Professional Women in Building Scholarship Program – A $500 scholarship awarded to a female recipient who plans to continue her education in a construction-related career path, and planning to pursue a related course of study at the college, trade school, or university they attend. Applications are in the Scholarship Drawer in the Guidance Office. Applications accepted January 1 through March 31, 2020.

Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver at Univ. of IL – for senior students who are natural or legally adopted children of a Veteran. This is a four-year in-state tuition waiver at any campus of the Univ. of Illinois: Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, Health Sciences Center, Springfield. See Application on-line at www.osfa.illinois.edu. Print out the application and mail with required documents. Priority deadline of January 2, 2020.

Norredden Gene Cowen Scholarship for Vocational/Trade School Students – The IL Masonic Children’s Assistance Program administers this scholarship for young adults planning to enroll in a vocational or trade school program. See the full application requirements and application in the Guidance Scholarship file drawer. Application must be submitted by March 31, 2020.

College Board Opportunity Scholarships - For high school juniors and seniors. The attached document shows 6 steps for students to do to qualify for scholarship drawings by College Board. Completing all six steps enters a student into the final drawing in March of their senior year. By working through the six steps, students will practice for the SAT, identify potential colleges, complete the FAFSA, and apply to colleges. This PDF file is on the bulletin board outside of the Guidance Office and is attached, below:

National Defense Transportation Assn. (NDTA) - Scott/St. Louis Chapter 2020/21 Scholastic Awards – to promote careers in Business, Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Physical Distribution. Two scholarships of $3,000 each and four scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded for recipients enrolled in an accredited bachelors program; $1,500 awarded to recipients enrolled in a certified program in a transportation related field. Eligibility: IL resident, high school seniors or college students planning to be enrolled full-time at an accredited institution within the NDTA’s Central Region. Information and application in the Scholarship file. Deadline of March 1, 2020.

CBAI FOUNDATION FOR COMMUNITY BANKING SCHOLARSHIP - $500-$1,000 Awards will be given; top scholarship will be awarded for four years. Open to any senior student. Students are asked to complete a writing assignment as part of this scholarship competition. Bradford National Bank is the local participating bank. See scholarship guidelines in the Guidance Scholarship file drawer. Application is due to the Guidance Office by Wednesday, March 4, 2020.
